Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall fell for Jordan Stephens after seeing him in drag

Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall told new boyfriend Jordan Stephens “Shantay, you stay” after falling for him dressed as a drag queen on screen.

Jade, 27, has been dating the Rizzle Kicks musician, 28, since May and told Cosmopolitan it was seeing him dressed in drag for 2019 film Tucked that sealed the deal.

During a conversation with RuPaul for the mag, Jade revealed: “When I first started talking to my boyfriend, I discovered he did a movie where he played a drag queen and I was like, right, that’s it.

“He’s perfect. Sign me up! A straight man who’s willing to dress in drag and loves being queer and feminine.”

Jade split from her last boyfriend, Jed Elliot from The Struts, in July 2019 and was first spotted out and about with Jordan as part of the Black Trans Lives Matter marches in June.

The pair then took a romantic trip to Venice together in August.

Jade is a big ally of the LGBTQ+ community and it’s more than just lip syncing.

Last year, she helped raise £10,000 for charity Mermaids UK.

She also appeared as a guest judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK describing it as “one of the best days of my life”.

The singer added that being a part of the drag scene had given her confidence in her own performances: “It’s taken me a lot of time to gain the courage to completely be myself in everyday life.

“It wasn’t until I got on stage that I would put this persona on and channel drag queens.

“You really helped me to do that,” she told Mama Ru.
