Tia Mowry-Hardrict has taken to social media to share a powerful and emotional post about self-care and love during these trying times.
The Sister, Sister actress posted an adorable photo of her cutie pie daughter, Cairo Tiahna Hardrict, doing what all humans should sometimes do — stop and smell the roses.
Both Tia and her sister, Tamera Mowry-Housley, have been mourning the loss of their childhood friend and actress, Naya Rivera, after she tragically died during a drowning accident in Lake Piru in Los Padres.
Tia had this to say to her readers: “I’m not gonna lie, the last few days have been rough. Life will throw you some loops that you’ve never thought you could imagine. In these challenging times, I start to really reflect and focus on things that really matter and what I’m grateful for. On our walk #cairo literally stopped and smelled the flowers. She reminded me of a great lesson. STOP and #appreciate the little things in life. For in the end, they are not so little. They are actually BIG things. I thank my #children everyday for giving me the #joy that sometimes escapes me during these #crazy times. They truly are the #miracles that I needed. #God knew what he was doing when he #blessed me with them. Thanks for all those who have reached out and sent their condolences. #Life is short! Live your life! And live it lovingly, and proudly. Love you guys!”
A follower shared: “When days feel heavy or overwhelming..the simple joys and reminders from the kiddos are always so soothing to the soul. You got this mama 💪🏽 one day at a time and remember there is love, joy, and light around you always ❤️.”
