Terry Crews Bizarrely Calls For The Defunding Of Pornhub After Porn Addiction — Gets Dragged Yet Again

Terry Crews has become a trending subject again for all the wrong reasons. The actor took to Twitter to make a statement that is purposely taking away attention from the Black Lives Matter movement.

The most bizarre thing about it is that he made the statement about porn. Yes, porn.

#defundthepolice is a movement that asks the government to stop giving billions of dollars directly to police departments and allocate some of the money to different areas in the community. This will have a direct effect on crime rates in neighborhoods and make people of color feel more comfortable calling for help without the worry that it will turn into another police brutality situation that we’ve seen all too often.

Much like the people who insist on hashtagging #allivesmatter when someone says #blacklivesmatter, Terry has taken the #defundthepolice hashtag when he tweeted ‘Defund Pornhub.’

While it’s fine for Crews to have his opinions on the porn website and to speak out against it if he chooses to do so, many people slammed him for using a phrase that is part of the conversation when talking about a much more important situation.

Perhaps ‘defunding’ Pornhub is important to the actor because of his past battle with porn addiction. There are also rumors that the website may be involved in sex trafficking and more shady practices — which absolutely should be looked into if so.

Terry spoke on how the addiction changed him and almost cost him his marriage.

‘For years, years, years, my dirty little secret was that I was addicted to pornography. It really, really messed up my life in a lot of ways. I didn’t tell anybody. It was my secret. Nobody knew. And that allowed it to grow…. By not telling people, it becomes more powerful. But when you put it out there in the open, just like I’m doing right now, it loses its power. My wife was literally like, ‘I don’t know you anymore. I’m outta here.’ And that changed me. Because you realize: Yo, this is a major, major problem. I literally had to go to rehab for it…Once I was aware of what it was doing to me, it changed me.’

Porn is not being government-funded. Therefore, Terry should speak his mind but try using a different tagline in his fight.
