Rebekah Vardy in tears in first interview after Wagatha Christie trial
Rebekah Vardy has revealed the surprising words she would say if she saw her bitter Wagatha Christie rival Coleen Rooney in the street.
Despite losing her High Court libel case last week – from which she claims to be suffering from PTSD – the 40-year-old wife of Leicester City footballer Jamie claims she would “take her to Caffe Nero”.
The mother-of-five made the shock claim and revealed “life is too short” for her to hold grudges and deal with bitterness, explaining she’s “not that person”.
Rebekah went on to discuss the excessive trolling she has been on the receiving end of in recent times – including being insulted in the stands while watching her husband play football.

Speaking to the Sun, she continued: “That is not me. I am not that person.
“The whole thing has been awful. At its worst, I was worried to be on my own, to leave the house. I was scared to be out in public places.”
Rebekah added that even the ‘smallest things like shopping’ have been difficult with people calling her names behind her back.
Bizarrely, she also claims some people have linked her to the disappearance of Madeline McCann and ‘suggested I was a member of IS’.
Norwich-born Rebekah remains adamant Justice Karen Steyn came to the incorrect conclusion following the lengthy proceedings and “got it wrong” after she was found guilty of leaking Coleen’s news to the press.

The decision marked an end to the two-and-a-half year feud, which started in 2019 when Coleen, 36, said she had carried out a “sting operation” and accused Rebekah’s account of leaking “false stories” about her private life in a now viral Instagram post.
The fake stories Rooney planted on her Instagram during the sting operation featured her travelling to Mexico for a “gender selection” procedure, her planning to return to TV, and the basement flooding at her home.
To make matters worse, meanwhile, legal bills in the region of a staggering £3 million could soon be heading Rebekah’s way.
On Wednesday, she is set to appear in her very first interview on TalkTV since the ruling and previews have shown her becoming very emotional as she declares she “didn’t do it”.

Speaking to journalist Kate McCann in a teaser clip ahead aired on Tuesday night, Rebekah says: “Oh come on, you can’t ask me that.”
She continues: “I will say that ’til I’m blue in the face. I did not do it!”
In response to another question, Rebekah says: “I feel let down by a lot of people, a lot of things. But most importantly I feel let down by the legal system.”
She’s later seen breaking down in tears as she sobs: “I’m going to cry!”

Responding to the verdict, Coleen had said she was pleased with the judgement and bears no ill will to Rebekah, adding: “It was not a case I ever sought or wanted.”
Turning to her viral Instagram post which sparked the saga, Coleen said: “Today’s judgment makes clear that I was right in what I said in my posts of October 2019.”
In how own statement, Rebekah said she was “extremely sad and disappointed” by the decision, and she did not accept it nor believe it “was just”.
