Nicki Minaj announces she is pregnant with first child by debuting baby bump

Nicki Minaj is having a baby.

The singer, 37, revealed the happy news on her Instagram page by unveiling a snap of herself cradling her growing bump.

She captioned the post: “#Preggers.”

The hitmaker – real name Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty – ensured she caught the eye in pregnancy reveal post by donning a tiny glitzy bikini and bright yellow wig.

Nicki can be seen posing on a pink chair in the offering and wowing with a face of bright make-up.

Fans rushed to the comments after she shared the joyful news.

One gushed: “No way you‘ll be the best mom.”

A second added: “Yesssssssssss I know this CONGRATULATIONS.”

Others echoed: “OMG” and “Yaas nickiii congrats.”

Moments after her first upload, she shared another snap where she could be seen in an electric blue wig and modelling a blue and pink ruffled bra paired with knickers decorated with gold fringing.

The photo also showed her legs partially covered in white stockings and she completed the out-there look with gem-encrusted heels.

Nicki penned next to the photo: “I’m in love. Classic Nicki meets the now. #BABYMINAJ.”

Last month, fans asked Nicki outright if she was expecting a child with her husband Kenneth Petty when she seemingly hid her stomach with a baby shark in promotional snaps for Trollz.

Then when one cheeky fan asked her for a baby bump pic, she responded: “The world aint ready yet.”

The singer is expecting the tot with her husband Kenneth Petty – who she wed last year.

The rapper and her beau, who has been convicted of manslaughter and registered as a sex offender, tied the knot less than a year after their romance began.

She’s long referred to him as her “husband”, but she announced in October that it’s official by telling the world she’s changed her name.

Nicki shared that she was a married woman by sharing a video clip online of a mug with the word ‘Mrs’ written on it next to a white baseball cap that said ‘Bride’, a mug that said ‘Mr’ and a black cap that reads ‘Groom’.
