Love Island: Gemma delivers final speech to Luca
Gemma Owen has been advised by a PR expert to dump Luca Bish if she wants to maximise on her earning potential.
The Love Island finalist came in second place with her partner Luca, who’s reaction to the final result was blasted, on Monday night’s live finale episode.
Dressage rider turned reality star Gemma, 19, was a favourite amongst the Islanders when she first entered the villa at the start of the series.
Gemma soon sparked a connection with fishmonger Luca, 23, and their romance blossomed throughout the series.
The couple’s romance was largely plain-sailing but Luca was hit with criticism and accusations of bullying following his actions towards fellow Islander Tasha Ghouri in some challenges.

Luca’s mum Maria even told off the Islander when she visited the villa over Luca’s behaviour towards Tasha.
And now, after the pair came in at second place behind Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti following a public vote for this series’ most loved couple, a PR expert has advised Gemma to reconsider her romance with Luca.
Celebrity PR Dermot McNamara told new! magazine: “Gemma already knows how the fame game works.

“But she’ll need to ditch Luca sharpish if she wants to maximise her showbiz potential. Some of his on-screen behaviour could put brands off working with him.”
He added: “Gemma will have much more earning power and be much more attractive to brands on her own.”
Celebrity PR Dermott also suggested that Gemma, who he called 2022’s answer to Dani Dyer, will have big name brands such as New Look knocking down her door to collaborate.

As well as potential offers from high street fashion retailers, Dermott tipped dressage rider Gemma could also collaborate with outdoor retailers such as Regatta on an equestrian-style collection.
It comes as fans speculate that the couple may have already parted ways after some viewers spotted a tell-tale sign between the pair.
Some fans noticed Gemma’s body language appeared slightly off during the live final.
One fan tweeted: “Why does Gemma always look like she is in a hostage situation?”

“Gemma looks FED UP,” another mused, with a third adding: “Gemma looks like she doesn’t want to be here lol.”
“Can’t wait for Gemma to dump Luca within a week out the villa I know who I voted for #LoveIsland,” was a sentiment shared by many others after the final results were announced by host Laura.
“I give Gemma and Luca 12 hours before they split up #LoveIsland,” one viewer tweeted last night, with another agreeing with: “Have Gemma and Luca split up yet? Doubt they make it back to the UK still together. #LoveIsland.”
