Kim Kardashian has claimed that a plant-based diet has aided her on-going battle against painful skin condition psoriasis, as she told fans also suffering from it to “realise it’s part of you”.
The reality star, 41, has struggled with the autoimmune disease for 15 years and often gets painful flare-ups that cause flaky red patches to appear on her skin.
Kim has been open about living with psoriasis and she regularly gets the same flare-up on her lower leg.
In July, she was spotted with the red mark again as she showed off her stunning figure while relaxing in a bikini during her tropical holiday.

In a 2019 blog post for sister Kourtney’s website Poosh, the beauty mogul documented how she changed to a plant-based diet in an effort to manage her condition, as well trying a herbal tea that “tasted like tar”.
In a recent Q & A for the site, the mum-of-four said she had maintained the diet.
When asked how the lifestyle has impacted other areas of her life, Kim said: “It’s made me more mindful about how what I put in my body affects me, not just psoriasis but also my mood, my stress levels, my energy, everything.”

The reality TV star, who recently split up with SNL star Pete Davidson, was also asked what advice she has for someone struggling with self-confidence.
She responded: “You have to get to a place where you just feel comfortable and own it. Be able to realize it’s a part of you.”
The influencer, who famously lost 16 pounds in three weeks to fit into Marilyn Monroe’s dress at the Met Gala, also spoke about her treat days, saying she enjoys pizza and doughnuts.
In an interview with Allure she revealed that her diet before the Met Gala caused her to have a “really painful” psoriasis flare-up.
The Kardashians star had switched to eating meat ahead of the event, which trying to lose weight.
However after the extreme weight loss, she started suffering badly, adding: “Psoriasis broke out over my body and I got psoriatic arthritis so I couldn’t really move my hands.
“It was really painful, and I had to go to a rheumatologist who put me on a steroid. I was freaking out. I cut out the meat again, and it’s calmed down.”

Kim has many feathers to her bow, including her SKIMS clothing line, which specialises in shapewear and underwear.
On her Instagram Story, Kim was a knock-out as she modelled a barely-there, lilac satin thong and bra, part of the new SKIMS collection.
The ensemble showed off her toned stomach, as Kim styled her hair in a chic platinum blonde-do.
She also showed fans garments in the range hanging on a clothes rail in different colours, saying: “I love this collection.”

She followed that snippet with a short video of her staring sultrily at the camera while in a car, her ample cleavage on show.
In her latest Instagram snaps Kim channelled a futuristic superhero, posing in in a revealing silver cut-out swimsuit which showed off her famous curves.
