Kate is said to be masterminding her 18-year-old daughter Lila Grace’s aspiring model career, meaning she could one day be just as famous as her mum

Kate Moss is masterminding her daughter Lila Grace’s aspiring modelling career, according to reports.

Lila, 18, was compared to her mum last month when she turned up to a party at members club Laylow in Notting Hill wearing a dress which looked just like the one Kate wore 27 years ago.

Now, insiders are suggesting that Kate, who has made an estimated £60 million from the fashion world, is responsible for her daughter’s style and is trying helping launch her modelling career.

A source told MailOnline: “Lila goes everywhere Kate goes, and gets introduced to the most important and influential people in the fashion and showbusiness worlds.”

Another friend described Lila, who is the spitting image of her mum, as “terribly confident” and “able to network with people of all ages”.

They added: “She seemed very sensible and grown up.”

The teenager is the principal client at Kate’s modelling company, Kate Moss Agency, based in London’s Soho, which also has pop singer Rita Ora and Game Of Thrones actress Gwendoline Christie on its books.

In recent weeks the pair have appeared in public in similar outfits.

Lila Grace and her mum celebrated the teenager’s 18th birthday at exclusive Japanese restaurant Nobu on London’s Park Lane earlier this week, wearing similar black dresses and patterned face masks.

And Lila was pictured looking ecstatic when an old white Mini Cooper, which looked identical to the one Kate drove 19 years ago, was delivered to their family home in Highgate, North London.

Lila has almost 100,000 followers on Instagram and has ditched her publishing executive father Jefferson Hack’s surname and is now known as Lila Moss.

Kate is said to be employing her business brain to make a superstar of her daughter.

Lila was unveiled as the face of perfume Perfect, by US fashion designer Marc Jacobs, three weeks ago.

At the time she paid tribute to her mother for introducing her to the world of fashion and beauty.

In a promotional interview, Lila said: “I remember when I was two, my mum and I were staying in New York. She was getting ready to go out and I saw this super sparkly, deep black eye shadow on her dressing table.

“I made one of her friends apply it on me and spent the rest of the evening tottering around the room in a pair of my mum’s high heels.”

The teenager began working with Marc Jacobs in 2018 when she became the face of Marc Jacobs Beauty.

It came 10 years after he first met her on holiday in Ibiza and Formentera when she was just six.

Speaking of the meeting, Jacobs revealed he was already impressed with the youngster, saying: “Lila’s strong character, demeanour and great beauty was already very apparent.”

She also has a deal with the fashion house Mui Mui, and has worked with Chanel.

Lila has made a host of A-list friends with her mum’s help, it is claimed.

She attended Jacobs’ wedding to former model Char Defrancesco in New York last year with a selection of celebrity guests.

She was also invited to the wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank in 2018 as well as American supermodels Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner have become close friends, too.

Kate was discovered at the age of 14 by a model scout at JFK airport in New York.

She later became a central member of the infamous Primrose Hill Set in London and gained a party girl reputation.

She dated rock star Pete Doherty and comedian Russell Brand and her current man is Harrow-educated Nikolai von Bismarck, who at 33 is 13 years her junior.

“You can only imagine that Kate has learned by her own mistakes and will steer her daughter away from behaving in the same way,” an associate of Kate said.
