Jordan Banjo has landed a new role hosting a weight-loss show on Channel 4 following his own huge seven-stone transformation.

The Diversity dancer will front the new programme, which will see people who want to shed some pounds paired with a previously successful slimmer.

He’ll offer his tips and advice based on his own experience, having lost more than seven stone after his dance group won Britain’s Got Talent in 2009.

Jordan will be joined by Dr Sara Kayat who’ll co-host Lose Weight Like Me with him.

The show, which will air on Channel 4 next year, will see two people who want to dramatically overhaul their appearance and lifestyle choose a health hero coach from a choice of four.

The coaches will all be hugely successful slimmers who’ve lost up to 200lbs.

But in a cruel twist, fitness hopefuls will only get to see snaps of their choice of health hero at their heaviest before they choose their helper.

Once selected, they will then follow their coach’s tried and tested diet and fitness regime in a bit to shift the timber.

Dr Sara will cast her medical eye on the contestants to ensure they’re losing weight in a safe and sustainable way as they battle to drop the pounds.

Ahead of the dancer flashing his six-pack in the I’m A Celebrity camp in 2016, his mum revealed how he’d decided to trim down and lost a massive seven stone .

His mum Danielle told the Mirror: “Jordan has lost seven stone, he looks completely different to what he did before.

“He’s confident and funny but he suffered with his weight. When he was with the group, he blended in and no one realised how big he was.

“But about five years ago, he didn’t want to be this big guy. That’s where all his humour came from, he was the big guy who was funny.

“He went on a fitness regime and overcame being insecure. It wasn’t just about losing weight but about getting fit.

“When he was fatter, he was one of the best dancers but there was so many moves he couldn’t do because of his weight.

“He doesn’t think he’s good-looking. From 12 to 16 he put the weight on, he was the only mixed kid in school and got bullied, so he would comfort eat. It was psychological bullying, name-calling, horrible stuff.

“He made friends with Denise the dinner lady and would have three meals at lunch. It became habit. It was a horrible time.”

Diversity won Britain’s Got Talent in 2009 and Jordan then decided it was time to shift the weight. At the time, he was halfway through his GCSEs.

His mum continued: “One day, he just decided to lose the weight, he did it all on his own. He wouldn’t divulge what clothes size he was.

“At the beginning he lost a lot of weight and we were concerned. It was extreme. He didn’t eat much and the group were exercising a lot.
