Britney Spears’ dad Jamie has spoken out amid the conversatorship battle, a court heard.
Circus hitmaker Britney made a move to remove her dad from her conservatorship but her request was denied.
Her dad has been in control of the pop star’s financial and personal affairs since 2008 when Britney was hospitalised for psychiatric treatment.
Jamie’s representative Geraldine Wyle said he has “nothing to hide” during a hearing held in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
His representative asked to hear directly from Britney or her care manager Jodi Montgomery.
Ms Wyle said they should “potentially weigh in so that we are certain everyone is aware what exactly is being waived and the consequences of having information that is possibly harmful [to Britney].”
The judge ruled a new hearing will go ahead on November 10.
Jodi became Britney’s acting conservator while Jamie was ill last year.
Her taking permanent control has not been approved by a court of law.
Jamie’s power of conservatorship has been extended until February next year by a judge.
