Amanda Holden and Peter Andre are among a host of other celebrities who have recently enjoyed luxury staycation breaks across the UK.

The stars have all been longing to take a few days off to soak up the rare sun, and what better way to do it than a Great British staycation!

We take a look at the celebs who took full advantage for a lavish getaway with their families in recent weeks.

Amanda Holden – Isles of Scilly

The Britain’s Got Talent judge, 49, has been enjoying a truly British break by the seaside with her husband Chris Hughes and their children Lexi, 14, and Hollie, eight.

It’s unknown where exactly the stunning mother-of-two is staying, but she’s loving her coastal break as she has stripped off for sexy bikini snaps in recent days.

The actress took to her social media account to give her fans a glimpse into her peaceful break and wowed with a demure bathing suit that showed off her killer pins.

Taking to Instagram, Amanda posted herself posing in front of a rugged coast front with sailing boats in the background as she lent on a wooden post.

She then enjoyed a spot of fish and chips with her family for dinner – she’s certainly doing things the British way!

Stacey Solomon -Sidmouth

Loose Women star Stacey treated her boyfriend Joe Swash and their little son Rex to a short stay in Sidmouth.

She documented their weekend break at a stunning hotel which is situated just behind a gorgeous beach.

The loved-up pair started their trip in the car, when Stacey took to her Instagram stories to admit that Joe had simply chucked their clothes into a bag and set off.

During their idyllic getaway, the pair watched the sunset go down together, with Stacey telling fans it made her “emotional”.

In her caption, she penned: “The sunset was so beautiful this evening. I felt emotional watching it. Hope you are all okay. Thinking of you always. Be kind to yourselves”.

Stacey and Joe’s cosy room for the weekend boasted a king-sized bed with a huge cream headboard, complete with pale green and blue tones to tie in with the seaside vibe of the stunning location.

Mummy and Daddy were also treated to a luxurious drinks table by the kind hotel staff who left two sparkling bottles of bubbly for the pair on arrival.

It looked incredible!

Laura Whitmore – New Brighton

Laura Whitmore has been putting on a brave face after this summer’s Love Island had to be cancelled thanks to the global coronavirus pandemic.

The Irish host, 35, took herself for a well-deserved break in New Brighton, Merseyside, in replacement of her cancelled Majorca trip.

Laura and fiancé Iain Stirling – the voiceover star of Love Island – treated themselves to a UK holiday at the end of July, and tried to make the best of it.

“F**king freezing #staycation2020,” she captioned some shots on Instagram.

Katie Piper -Kingston-Upon-Thames

The model has been enjoying various trips across the UK in recent weeks.

She was pictured in Kingston-upon-Thames on Monday, and joked: “Pretending we are on holiday for one day.”

Katie cuddled her mini-me daughter in the snap, as they headed out on a lavish boat trip on the river.

The star has also enjoyed long walks in local parks and plenty of fresh air.

Peter Andre- Cornwall

Meanwhile, Peter Andre is on his first ever Cornwall staycation and is pleasantly surprised at what he’s found.

The Mysterious Girl singer, 47, has admitted he didn’t know that Britain has sandy beaches as he enjoyed the beautiful shores of Newquay.

He is currently on a mini-break with his wife Emily MacDonagh and their two children, Amelia, six, and Theo, three.

Peter wrote: “We’ve been to the seaside with the kids and I was shocked to find there are sandy beaches down here.

“I thought there were only pebble beaches in the UK, which is crazy as I’ve lived here half my life.”

Pete added: “We’ve been on bike rides and doing lots of home cooking in our amazing villa.

“It’s been a really fantastic staycation and the kids have loved it.”
