EastEnders star Adam Woodyatt is sure to be turning heads in the street thanks to his new look.

The actor, who plays Ian Beale in the BBC soap, looked totally different as he unveiled his weight loss for the first time.

The 52-year-old was seen looking a bit more portly on the set of EastEnders last year but has clearly put his time off during the coronavirus lockdown to good use.

Adam was looking toned and sporty when he was seen out in Hertfordshire recently.

He looked to be in good spirits as well as good health, sporting a grin as he got out of his car to run some errands.

Adam showed off his new svelte frame in a green Fred Perry top, jeans and trainers.

While it’s not known exactly how much weight he’s shed, it’s clear he’s lost several stone after switching up his lifestyle.

Adam was also noticeably missing his wedding ring after splitting from his wife of 22 years.

It was revealed last month that the actor had broken up with partner Beverly Sharp, who he married in 1998.

Adam, who is the soap’s longest-serving star, is the one who made the decision to end the romance, but insiders insist there is no third party involved.

A source told The Sun at the time: “Beverley was naturally very upset, as anybody would be in the circumstances, but these things happen and it’s a straightforward separation.

“Nobody plans for these things and divorce is a difficult thing to get your head around but they have dealt with it quietly for several months and are now telling friends so it’s less of a secret.

“They still get on well, and are keen to make sure they stay that way for the sake of their children – even though they are now grown up.”

Adam’s new look will be sure to shock EastEnders fans when he returns from his 10-week sabbatical.

He’s said before that appearing on the show has been him targeted by cruel trolls who taunted him over his weight.

He said: “One of the best examples of somebody being rude is when we were at the BBC Good Food show.
