Love Island star Laura Anderson shared a stunning make-up free snap after appearing on TV to debate airbrushing pictures.
Laura, 31, who rocketed to fame during 2018’s series of Love Island, was on BBC Breakfast this morning to discuss a Tory MP’s proposed plan to make celebrities mark their airbrushed pictures.
In her latest stunning snap, Laura pouted at the camera and tied her hair into a messy ponytail.
The star penned: “Always go to bed with a dream and wake up with a purpose.”
This comes shortly after Laura told of the “abuse” she’d received for a snap of her with Love Island pals, after trolls insisted she looked “very different” to her usual self.
Laura’s remained defiant since, addressing fans in a makeup-free video and slamming: “It’s really not nice to read all those comments and I just think people need to get over the fact that a picture is just a picture.”
She added: “I wanted to come on here with no makeup on and I think I look fine, so thanks for the abuse.
“Anyway, positive love.”
This morning, Laura appeared on a video call from her Glasgow home to chat to BBC Breakfast.
She addressed a proposed measure put forward by Conservative MP Dr Luke Evans, who drew up a Bill which would make celebs label any images that had been digitally altered.
The Bill claims edited snaps are “fuelling a mental health crisis” and create a “warped view” of body image.
Laura remarked: “At first, I wasn’t 100% sure but now, honestly, I am all for it. I think it’s great that we have choices, we all have our reasons for why we edit.
“Sometimes I edit just to save me some time. I ask friends why they edit, if they’re not doing professional brand posts or things, they say it’s a confidence thing.
“I think we have to respect everyone’s confidence journey, as long as we’re honest about it.
“I know if I could see ‘edited’, it would maybe stop me from editing as much. I think that’s something positive in the future.
“I do think we over edit right now.”
Laura became a household name overnight during 2018’s Love Island and quickly solidified her fan favourite status with her down-to-earth honesty and humour.
