Lady Gaga is currently gearing up to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards, later this month.
The Video Music Awards will see some of the biggest names in the international music industry battle it out to take home prizes for their contributions to music in the past year.
The 34-year-old singing sensation is set to put on a epic show during the hotly anticipated ceremony, and it will mark her return to the iconic stage after a seven year hiatus.
Pokerface hit-maker Lady Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Angelina Germanotta, last strutted her stuff at the VMA’s in 2013.
She wowed audiences worldwide when she opened the show with a colorful performance of her song, “Applause,” from her award-winning ARTPOP album.
The princess of pop leads this year’s awards ceremony with a whopping nine nominations.
Gaga is up for video of the year, song of the year, best collaboration and artist of the year – to name just a few.
She has also been nominated for her At Home Together concert in April.
This year’s awards also include two new additions thanks to the coronavirus pandemic.
These categories are: Best Music Video from Home and Best Quarantine Performance.
She now joins a long list of performers who are scheduled to hit the stage during one of music’s most iconic nights.
The Weeknd, sensational KPOP band BTS and newcomer Doja Cat will show off their musical abilities on the epic night which is set to take place on August 30th.
Due to the ongoing coronavirus, the annual awards ceremony will not be held indoors at New York’s Barclays Center as previously planned.
It will, instead, feature live outdoor performances throughout the city with limited or no audiences.
Others nominated include Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Harry Styles, Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Lana Del Rey, and The Killers
