Chris Taylor spoils Maura Higgins with Cartier watch on 30th birthday

They broke the Internet on Tuesday night when they officially announced they were dating.

Now Love Island star Chris Taylor has treated his gorgeous girlfriend Maura Higgins to a spectacular 30th birthday.

The lovebirds, who both appeared on the 2019 series of Love Island, are currently enjoying a romantic getaway in Dubai in celebration of Maura’s milestone birthday.

The bubbly Irish native took to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday afternoon to unveil an array of expensive gifts her new beau had spoiled her with.

Alongside a video captioned: “Okay, he’s completely spoiled me,” Maura panned the camera across a luxurious Cartier bag and a stunning breakfast display featuring delicious chocolates which were placed on a bed of photographs of the loved-up pair.

Elsewhere, Chris has decorated their lush hotel room with rose petals which were scattered across their huge bed.

The cheeky chap also treated his Irish lady to a slap-up breakfast which consisted of stacked pancakes drizzled in maple syrup and fruit.

After months of insisting they’re “just friends”, Chris confessed he had fallen in love with his best mate on Instagram.

Maura boldly told everyone: “He’s mine.”

Their Love Island co-stars were equally relieved they didn’t have to keep the happy news quiet anymore.

Maura’s BFF Molly-Mae Hague was, of course, already in the know about their relationship.

She declared: “FINALLLLLLYYYYYYY.”

Tommy Fury also was clued up on what was going on behind the scenes.

“About time,” he wrote.

Despite their whirlwind love story, Maura and Chris never partnered up as a romantic couple on the ITV show.

Maura took her romance with Curtis Pritchard to home turf but their relationship couldn’t survive in the real world.

Chris was never in an official relationship with Harley Brash, who he tried to woo on the show.

Their friendship has flourished into a beautiful love story which was an utter delight to their fan base.
