Nick Cannon Announces Break From Podcast After Antisemitism Controversy

Nick Cannon has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons these last few days. The Wild N Out host has announced that he will be taking some time away from his podcast to reflect.

After the media mogul’s June episode of Cannon Class, he expressed multiple anti-Semitic ideals. Those statements led to him being let go from ViacomCBS — a media conglomerate that he’s been in business with for over 20 years.

Nick made it clear that Viacom’s statement wasn’t how it went down. He apologized to the Jewish community and announced that he would be taking a trip to Israel to further educate himself.

It was also announced that Fox, the channel that airs Nick’s version of The Masked Singer, had a productive conversation with him. They claim that he was very apologetic and wanting to do better so they have decided to not terminate their relationship with him.

After this bad press, Nick has decided to take a break from Cannon Class.

In a series of tweets, Cannon said: ‘Morning radio family. I have decided to take some time away from my radio show so I can commit myself to deeper, more thorough reflection and education. I will use this time to establish an action plan towards real, impactful change and advocacy aimed at bringing people together. I continue to express my gratitude to the Rabbis, community leaders and institutions who have reached out to me to help enlighten me. I continue to express my gratitude to the Rabbis, community leaders and institutions who have reached out to me to help enlighten me. Their input and friendship will help me as I further commit myself to more profound learning and towards strengthening the bond between the Black and Jewish cultures every day going forward.’

Nick has found support in many of his Wild N Out employees and even Diddy.
