Zayn Malik gave fans a rare thrill on Friday when he shared a selfie on Instagram – his first update for almost two months.
The 27-year-old chart-topping star looked teary-eyed as he posed for a close up snap in a kitchen, with his hair swept back and stubble growing on his face.
Zayn offered no caption as he uploaded the image to his Instagram page – but some fans noted that it coincided with the Islamic festival of Eid al-Adha which runs from 30 July to 2 August 2020.
The I Don’t Wanna Live Forever singer caused a flurry of excitement with the post with many requesting more regular updates as his last post was dated back on 2 June.
One fan gushed: “Oh yes. Post more exactly like this.”
While others noted the seemingly tear-filled eyes of the star, with one commenting: “Um zayn? Are you okay it looks like your crying.”
Meanwhile, Zayn’s 25-year-old girlfriend Gigi Hadid shared a snap of herself passionately snogging the former One Direction heartthrob.
Taking to her own Instagram page, the model shared a snap of them both in a passionate embrace while preparing for the arrival of their first child together.
The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star captioned the intimate moment: “Babby daddy” along with a smiling emoji.
The update provoked a flurry of adoring comments from fans and followers.
Friend and wife of Justin Bieber, Hailey Baldwin, was among the commentators – sharing a string of pink heart emojis in response to the loved up snap.
Gigi confirmed back in April that she and Zayn are expecting a child together – following five years of on-off dating.
