Westside Gunn has Kanye’s back but not in the way fans hoped. Fans of Kanye know he has had a controversial past few weeks following his announcement that he was going to run for the presidency this year.
Kanye put on his first campaign rally in South Carolina earlier this week in which he made several shocking claims, including how he wanted to abort his first child with the reality TV star and makeup mogul, Kim Kardashian.
It was reported earlier today that Kanye’s recent behavior has sparked the disappointment and concern from the other members of the Kar-Jenner clan, who are worried about him, and wish he would stop.
Regardless of his immediate family’s thoughts and opinions on the rapper’s speeches, many of his cohorts in the entertainment business, but especially in the hip-hop world, have been commenting on West’s recent remarks, including Westside Gunn, who came to bat for Kanye but in a way that had collateral damage.

As it was noted above, Kanye went on a rant this past Sunday regarding abortion and other controversial topics, including Harriet Tubman, and many of the rapper’s friends in the game are worried for him.
According to Hot New Hip Hop, Westside Gunn is just one of many individuals who have been working with West lately, and he is in his corner. However, Gunn blamed Kris Jenner as well as Caitlyn Jenner for his recent outbursts.
After saying Hollywood was a “sick place,” Westside Gunn claimed Kanye’s kids now have to call their grandfather “grandma,” in addition to the rapper losing his mom in recent years. Many followers of Westside Gunn weren’t happy with this tweet, arguing that he was clearly transphobic.
Gunn went on to say “I Quit,” which many believed was the right decision for him, at least in terms of talking about the rapper’s family. However, other people on social media agreed with Gunn’s remarks.
One commenter wrote, “Gunn has a point.”
