Following a strong 2-0 week after adding Jactroll to its League of Legends lineup, Origen faltered against Vitality. Vitality, the team that sent Jactroll to Origen, took down their former teammate and ended the new lineup’s recent win streak in the 2020 LEC Summer Split.
After a 40-minute brawl in which Vitality maintained control over the game, they handed their former support his first loss on his new roster.
The MVP award for this game went to Vitality’s new support, Labros “Labrov” Papoutsakis, an LEC rookie who joined Vitality in the offseason.

Origen went for a triple-scaling composition of Gankplank, Corki, and Ezreal. Vitality answered that comp with Azir and Aphelios, two of the best hyper-scaling carries in the game.
After a dominant early game, Vitality picked up objective after objective, leaving no scraps for Origen to take. Even though Origen looked for some gold around the map, Vitality were prepared to fight for every single minion, pushing the top-three LEC team to their limits.
After taking the Infernal Dragon Soul and two Barons, Vitality finished the game with a bloody teamfight. Even though they were far ahead, they still have some issues to work out in terms of finishing the games in which they’re ahead.
It’s bitter sweet that Jactroll left Vitality only to lose against them. Jactroll is a player that Origen’s coaches have followed for years, someone with LEC experience and “clearly defined strengths and weaknesses,” says general manager Martin “Deficio” Lynge.
Deficio said he’s a player everyone knew and felt “comfortable” with and he brings a new style of communication to the team. He also has great synergy with ADC Elias “Upset” Lipp and has quickly “integrated into the lineup,” according to Deficio.
Jactroll was Vitality’s starting support player during the 2020 LEC Spring Split. But after finishing the regular season in last place, he was replaced by Pierre “Steeelback” Medjaldi.
During his team’s struggles, the 22-year-old hasn’t looked great, but that could also be said for a few of his other teammates as well. A more veteran European presence could be what Origen has been looking for, though.
Jactroll was Vitality’s starting support during the 2020 LEC Spring Split, where his team stumbled to a last-place finish during the regular season. The veteran support also only played 10 games during the split. He was swapped out for Steeelback in eight games but no improvements were seen.
Eventually, Vitality opted to start 18-year-old Labrov from BIG Clan, alongside a handful of younger rookies to complete the lineup. The team hasn’t wowed many critics just yet, however, since they’re also stuck tied for fifth in the Summer Split with a 4-5 record.
