Victoria Beckham sells jumper full of holes for £650 – and it’s already sold out
EXCLUSIVE: The former Spice Girl-turned-fashionista has a similarly chilly knit on sale for a whopping £750 – one fan pointed out it’s not great weather for it
Holey Moley! Fashion designer Victoria Beckham’s new jumper is not exactly a winter warmer – but it’s selling like hot cakes for £650.
The pully is perforated with four rows of diamond-shaped holes, which might not be practical but, according to Posh Spice, they’re a “key” look.
Her website says: “Hand stitched cutouts, made by pinching and finishing two ribbed edges together, were a key detail in the Autumn Winter 2020 show.
“Here, they create a three-dimensional, textured argyle motif.
“Based on an iconic, signature cut from the VB archive that’s been re-imagined and updated, the jumper is knit in a strong 2×3 rib that naturally creates a fitted silhouette.”
But one customer who browsed the range said: “I’d think twice before going out in that, especially in October.”
Despite the hefty price tag, one size of the jumper, that comes in khaki or navy, has already sold out. Another Posh sweater, snipped with a single row of holes, costs an eye-popping £750.
Victoria says: “Jumpers are a key component of the Autumn Winter 2020 runway collection, paired with everything from school uniform-inspired skirts to front-pleat culottes.”
Her fashion firm lost £12million in 2018, according to latest accounts.
Directors said the brand was a victim of declining sales in department stores.
The draughty tops come after she was called our posting “obscene” content on social media.
Last month she shared a snap of a model’s boobs with her 28.6million Instagram followers.
She shared a snap of a model’s breasts through a sheer shirt as part of her latest collection for her self titled clothing brand.
But it seems as though her message was lost in translation as fans were nothing short of outraged by the post.
One shocked fan wrote: “Kinda is creepy. Nothing class and fashion in this at all.”
Another penned: “Obscene! Ugh!”
A third wrote: “Lol in the name of fashion!!! How tasteless and classless.”
While a fourth agreed, writing: “Not tasteful or appropriate, hardly do the weekly shop in it or wear it to a restaurant.”
