Victoria Beckham is reportedly counting on the family’s new £16million Netflix show deal to boost the Beckham brand.
It is said that the show will focus on all facets of the journey and career of football icon David, 45, along with his family life with wife and former Spice Girls member Victoria, 46.
It’s reported that Victoria and their four children with David will feature prominently in the show.
And although the Netflix deal is guaranteed to boost their popularity levels, Victoria hopes it will also boost the Beckham brand.
An insider told Heat: “Victoria was keen for the family to star in their own upmarket reality show, and she thinks this is perfect. However, she doesn’t want her marriage to come under any more scrutiny.”
The source added: “She wants the documentary to show how happy they are, and what a strong relationship they have with each other and their children.
“She’s always come across well on TV, as people can see her sense of humour, and she’s hoping this one will do the same, as well as give a much-needed boost to Brand Beckham, after a testing few months in lockdown.”
In addition to family footage of birthdays and Christmases, the insider teased a look at David and Victoria’s early dates.
The show will also reportedly follow David in his current life with global business ventures and family time.
There is also said to be exclusive interviews with members of David’s family, including his four children: Brooklyn, 21, Romeo, 18, Cruz, 15, and Harper Seven, nine.
The source added: “This is a real coup for Netflix, and will show a completely different side to David – one the public very rarely get to see.”
It is reported that the series will begin with a football game between David and his beloved father, Ted.
The show is also said to feature talks with associates like close pal Dave Gardner, football stars such as Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs, and Cristiano Ronaldo, along with celebrity friends including comedian and presenter James Corden.
We can also expect footage of some of David’s standout moments in football, fashion, and hairstyles when the series hits the streaming platform, which is likely to be in 2022.
David created his Studio 99 media and production company last year, with the name inspired by the year that he wed wife Victoria – 1999.
