Rebekah Vardy has reportedly named another two WAGs in her ongoing legal battle with Coleen Rooney.
Danielle Lloyd and Dawn Ward are said to have been named in a new 59-page legal document, which claims they were two of more than 300 people privy to information on Coleen’s private Instagram account, although neither of them is accused of being the person behind the leaks.
Wayne Rooney’s wife and Jamie Vardy’s wife have been at loggerheads since last year when Coleen posted her now infamous statement.
She was dubbed Wagatha Christie when she revealed she had laid a trap on her private Instagram account to find out who was leaking stories to the press.
She claimed she had blocked every account but Rebekah’s from seeing her posts before sharing a series of fake stories which went on to make it into the press.
Coleen explained what she had done and told her followers the leaks had come from Rebekah’s account.
Rebekah, who was heavily pregnant at the time, denied she was the person behind the leaks and has since sued Coleen for libel.
A judge has ruled that Coleen must now prove it was Rebekah herself and not someone with access to her account who gave the information to the press.
Now, another two WAGs have been added into the mix, reports The Sun.
Danielle, the ex-wife of footballer Jamie O’Hara, and Dawn, wife of retired footie star Ashley Ward, were identified in High Court papers submitted this week.
It’s said that Becky claims in the papers that both Danielle and Dawn were privy to information on Coleen’s private account, although she does not suggest that either of them was the person behind the leaks.
The papers also claim that Coleen issued a threat to Becky three days before posting her explosive statement.
It’s claimed Coleen messaged Becky from her private Instagram account, saying: “If you play games with me, I will play them harder.”
Rebekah denies being the source of the stories and also denies claims that she wrote The Sun’s Secret Wag column.
It’s said she also accuses Coleen of “victim blaming” and takes a swipe at her investigation, saying it lasted just five weeks and a day and not the five months that Coleen suggested it had gone on for.
Rebekah, who is taking part in the next series of Dancing On Ice, claims that Coleen’s private Instagram was accessible to 367 other people at the time that the stories were leaked, including journalists, publicists and friends who had gossip columns.
Her lawyers don’t point blame at any other person, but instead ask why it was Becky who was accused over anyone else.
The lawyers claim: “The press are independently interested in the claimant and she is married to a famous footballer.
“She does not need to generate interest by trading the defendant’s or others’ private information.”
