TOWIE’s Shelby Tribble gives birth to baby boy with boyfriend Sam Mucklow

Shelby Tribble has given birth to her first child with boyfriend Sam Mucklow.

Partner Sam shared their happy news in a statement posted to his Instagram story, telling fans: “Shelby and our beautiful baby boy are both well and healthy.”

He explained that Shelby did not have a ‘straightforward labour’, adding “She has been in hospital for 5 days today! She has been an absolute soldier.”

The proud dad then thanked the hospital staff for taking care of Shelby, 27, and their new baby, writing: “So many lovely staff we are so lucky to have the NHS England.”

On Sunday, Sam snapped a photo of radiant Shelby as he documented the lead up to life-changing moment on his Instagram stories.

Her dark locks were tied into a neat plait while she was hooked up to monitors and got checked by a midwife ahead of giving birth.

Shelby was tucked up under a blanket as she laid back in her hospital bed with her eyes closed while resting her head on a pregnancy pillow.

Sam explained to fans that she has already been in hospital for three days and that the couple were hoping that today is finally going to be the big day that their little one arrives.

The couple announced the news of Shelby’s pregnancy earlier this year, with the baby boy being the TOWIE couple’s first child together.

“So proud of this girl, almost three days in hospital fingers crossed,” Sam wrote in his story.

“Little man should arrive today,” he said hopefully.

Sam and Shelby announced their pregnancy back in May.

They both captioned their posts: “Something fantastic is making us glad, we’re changing our names to Mum and Dad.”

Shelby recently confessed she had been struggling since entering her third trimester.

She admitted that her once “perfect” pregnancy had turned into an uncomfortable experience as reached the 27-week mark.

She candidly told fans the experience of awaiting her precious bundle of joy hasn’t been all that flattering.

The expecting mum said she’s been suffering from swollen ankles, chafing and heartburn.

Shelby and Sam hosted a gender reveal party earlier this year where they pulled back the curtains of a wardrobe to unveil their little one’s gender.

In a clip posted to their social media pages their family and friends counted down from ten before the couple unzipped a sheet, uncovering a clothing rail full of blue clothes, blankets and balloons.

At the end of the video they shared a kiss while their loved ones cheered.
