Tom Parker buckled down and shifted his focus onto his pregnant wife and their baby daughter while secretly battling cancer.

The Wanted singer, 32, shared the devastating news that he’s been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, as he said the condition is inoperable.

And after revealing that he had an inkling that “something was wrong in July”, Tom refused to feel sorry for himself as he and wife Kelsey found out they were expecting their second child together.

As he announced the exciting baby news on Instagram, Tom made a clear effort to remain positive despite knowing that he had been living with a brain tumour.

Sharing a sweet snap of him and Kelsey back in July, Tom penned: “Can you believe that we’ll be having another baby in just 15 weeks time. Goodbye sleep.”

Speaking to OK! magazine about his shock diagnosis, Tom – who shares 16-month-old daughter Aurelia with Kelsey – said: “I’m still in complete shock, it’s so much to take in.”

Kelsey said: “It has been a crazy six weeks. We had an inkling that something was wrong in July, but we never could have imagined it was this.”

Tom added: “I knew something wasn’t right, but I never expected it to be this. You never think this will happen to you.”

The singer took to Instagram this morning to share the tragic news with fans.

He wrote: “Hey guys, you know that we’ve both been quiet on social media for a few weeks and it’s time to tell you why.”

He went on: “There’s no easy way to say this but I’ve sadly been diagnosed with a brain tumour and I’m already undergoing treatment.

“We decided, after a lot of thought, that rather than hiding away and trying to keep it a secret, we would do one interview where we could lay out all the details and let everyone know the facts in our own way.

“We are all absolutely devastated but we are gonna fight this all the way. We don’t want your sadness, we just want love and positivity and together we will raise awareness of this terrible disease and look for all available treatment options.”

He concluded: “It’s gonna be a tough battle but with everyone’s love and support we are going to beat this. Tom and Kelsey xxx”

Tom had last posted on Instagram in August, but his absence now makes sense to his devastated fans.
