Pop band The Wanted could reunite after singer Tom Parker revealed his devastating terminal brain tumour diagnosi s.
The dad-of-one, 32, who is expecting a second child with wife Kelsey, has an inoperable tumour and is bravely undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy in an effort to prolong his life.
And following the heartbreaking diagnosis, the star has received support from his bandmates – Max George, Nathan Sykes, Jay McGuinness and Siva Kanesawaran – and the foursome have been discussing getting back together on stage to celebrate their pop success,
An insider has told that the Chasing the Sun hitmakers – who formed in 2009 and decided to go on a hiatus in 2014 – are keen to perform together to “mark one of their anniversaries” as their time in the band were some of the “best” years of their lives.
An source told The Sun: “Max has always been open about wanting to get the group back together to mark one of their anniversaries.
“Those years for the lads were some of the best of their lives and they all love performing.
“For various reasons some of the lads grew apart but now it seems that next year, depending on how everything goes, they could do something to mark just how far the group has come.”
Earlier this week, Tom shared on his health battle with OK! Magazine.
“I’m still in complete shock, it’s so much to take in,” he admitted.
His partner Kelsey added: “It has been a crazy six weeks. We had an inkling that something was wrong in July, but we never could have imagined it was this.”
Tom, who said his diagnosis didn’t feel real, added: “I knew something wasn’t right, but I never expected it to be this. You never think this will happen to you.”
Tom also took to Instagram to share the tragic news with his fans.
Sharing a sweet snap of himself with his pregnant wife and young daughter, he penned: “Hey guys, you know that we’ve both been quiet on social media for a few weeks and it’s time to tell you why.
“There’s no easy way to say this but I’ve sadly been diagnosed with a Brain Tumour and I’m already undergoing treatment. We decided, after a lot of thought, that rather than hiding away and trying to keep it a secret, we would do one interview where we could lay out all the details and let everyone know the facts in our own way.
