The Beast Mark Labbett blocks fans as he sparks backlash over refusing 2nd lockdown

The Beast Mark Labbett sparked an outcry on social media when he called for everyone to #SayNoToLockdown in his latest tweet

The Chase star “The Beast” Mark Labbett blocked fans after coming under fire for saying no to a second lockdown.

Matt Hancock has warned a second national lockdown could be brought in to help tackle a second wave of coronavirus in the UK.

In response, Mark sparked an outcry on social media when he called for everyone to #SayNoToLockdown in his latest tweet.

The TV sensation, 55, sparked the political debate when he shared his controversial view about not wanting a second lockdown in the UK.

Backlash left Mark with no choice but to block people on Twitter after many questioned his intelligence.

He wrote to his 130.8K followers on Sunday: “Blocking a lot of people this afternoon.

“Politics is all about discussion/argument but questioning my intelligence is pretty counterproductive #SayNoToLockdown.”

His original post ” #SayNoToLockdown ” riled up many Brits across the UK who fired back at the star on social media.

Many had responded to his controversial opinions with “yes to lockdown” but overall Mark’s comments had divided his followers.

Among the sea of comments, one wrote: “Why Mark? Sure it’s a pain, but at least it helps slow the spread considerably.”

Others tweeted in support of what Mark had to say.

In among the comments, someone wrote: “but what about the millions of lives that’ll be ruined from collapsed businesses? the virus is here to stay, we need to protect the vulnerable and let people get on with their lives.”

Recently, Mark has split from his wife Katie with whom he shares a three-year-old son after their open marriage didn’t work.
