Tekashi 6ix9ine managed to make a name for himself for his particular brand of self-promotion. The rapper marketed his brand through trolling other performing artists and poking fun at music industry tactics.
Even though 6ix9ine was put away for telling on his former associates in the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, the rapper has pointed fingers at other members of the rap community who have ostensibly done the same thing.
Either way, it’s been reported by multiple outlets over the last few weeks that the hype surrounding Tekashi 6ix9ine has since died down. Especially considering respected members of the hip-hop community have refused to conduct interviews with him.
During a new conversation with Fox 5 New York, Tekashi sat down with reporters and reflected on his ascension to fame, as well as what it was like to sit behind bars. The rapper admitted he once thought about killing himself.
6ix9ine admitted that other people may have attempted to kill themselves had they been in a similar position. He claims he thought about taking his own life too. There was so much pressure on him while he was sitting behind bars, the rapper explained.

6ix9ine says he asked himself, “when is this going to come to an end?” The silver lining to his struggle is that he managed to come out a lot stronger than he was before. According to Tekashi 6ix9ine, “God” has built him to be incredibly strong.
The rapper, also known as Daniel Hernandez, alluded to the notorious saying, “what doesn’t kill you will only make you stronger,” when he claimed he’s now ready to take on any challenge. He’s at the “peak” of his mental wellbeing. Hernandez says he knows he’ll be fine.
This comes after Tekashi’s latest record, Tattle Tales, didn’t perform as well as he had hoped. Estimates claim that his newest project would only move around 50,000 units, rather than the initial projections of 150,000.
Hernandez later posted a video of himself in the streets of New York handing out copies of his latest project.
