Tamzin Outhwaite has opened up about her battle with PTSD, which she said she was diagnosed with after being forced to make a ‘tragic decision’.
The former EastEnders actress, 50, took to her Twitter account on Sunday night to talk about her experiences with bullying, both as a child and as an adult, and how it has affected her life.
She didn’t say who had bullied her into making such a difficult decision in her post.
Tamzin told her 236,000 Twitter followers: “I was bullied at school so badly that my parents took me out of the school & moved me to another.
“As an adult I was bullied into making a huge, tragic decision leaving me with PTSD that I will never forget.
“From experience, I can sniff a bully out from miles away.”
Later she shared a motivational quote picture.
It read: “You own everything that happened to you. Tell your stories.
“If people wanted you to write warmly about them, they should have behaved better.”
“Word,” Tamzin captioned the post.
Tamzin first shot to fame playing Mel Owen in EastEnders in 1998.
She left in 2002 and later returned for a second stint in 2018.
The soap star left last year after her character was killed off in a car crash.
