Shirley Ballas may have suffered an unfortunate ankle injury, but it hasn’t stopped her from getting out to see the sights.

The Strictly Come Dancing star, 59, suffered a clean break at the beginning of July but has not yet revealed how it had happened.

Despite having to deal with her foot being stuck in a plaster cast for the next couple of months, the telly star is determined to make the most of the rest of her summer.

On Monday, Shirley set off to Windsor Castle where she fed her obsession with the Royal family alongside boyfriend Danny Taylor, 47.

Taking to Instagram, the bubbly star shared a series of sweet snaps of her latest outing where she proudly sported a neon pink plaster cast.

Shirley beamed as she posed alongside the royal guards while perched in a wheelchair in a bid to rest her injured ankle.

She also posted a string of loved-up photographs where her beau Danny gave her a helping hand as she balanced on crutches in front of the famous castle.

The Strictly star looked better than ever as she ditched her usual glamour for a more casual ensemble which featured a floral blouse and some comfortable black leggings.

Shirley let her natural beauty shine through as she opted for minimal makeup under her protective face mask.

Alongside the collection of wholesome snaps, she revealed that she had the most ‘beautiful’ day out surrounded by her loved ones.

The TV star penned: “Beautiful day out with @danieltayloresq family and friends. I’m so in awe of the royal family also royals through the ages.

“It was splendid to roam the castle and see it in all its glory. Weather was kind and Danny pushed me up hill downhill lol truly one of the best days out ever.”

Shirley and Danny met in 2019 during rehearsals for Jack And The Beanstalk, which they starred in together over Christmas.

News of her new romance came just a week after Shirley told TV host Lorraine Kelly that she’d met “somebody nice”.

The Strictly judge also hinted that she was dating again when she tweeted that her panto co-star Daniel was a “very funny handsome man”.

Danny has had an extensive career both on stage and screen and is one of the country’s most successful theatre actors.

He has also appeared in TV series such as The Bill and Brookside.
