Strictly Come Dancing star HRVY has insisted the time isn’t right for a romance with fellow contestant Maisie Smith.
The influencer, 21, has been at the centre of swirling rumours about his friendship with the EastEnders star after some flirty banter online.
However, HRVY is adamant now is not the time to start a relationship – as none of the contestants are allowed to hang out together because of the coronavirus restrictions.
He’s adamant they are just friends and he’s focusing on the competition.
Speaking to new! magazine, HRVY explained: “We’re just friends. I’m here to dance and have a good time.
“You can’t see anyone but your partner anyway, so it wouldn’t be the right time for anything.
“But Maisie’s a great girl and she’s very beautiful.”
Maisie, best known for playing Tiffany Butcher in EastEnders, has also addressed the romance rumours recently.
She echoed HRVY’s statements but didn’t rule out romance in the future.
She told The Sun : “He is a beautiful-looking guy.
“But I have only seen him for a couple of hours a week so I am still enjoying getting to know him.
“I don’t know what would happen in the future, but for now we are getting along really well as friends.”
HRVY previously admitted that out of all the other dancers on Strictly, he’s spent the least time with Maisie.
He wrote in OK! : “I’ve actually seen her the least out of everyone because she’s not been in any of my rehearsal spaces.
