Strictly Come Dancing bosses have reportedly tightened security after dancer Dianne Buswell was chilling threats falsely accusing her of cheating with partner Max George.
The pro, who is dating her former partner Joe Sugg, has been teamed with The Wanted star Max for the 2020 series.
The Sun on Sunday now reports Dianne has been targeted by a series of sinister online messages falsely accusing her of being unfaithful with her new dance partner.
One of the messages ominously stated the poster had followed the dancer back to where she was staying, ending with the words: “This will be the end for Dianne.”
The publication reports BBC bosses have now stepped up security around the dancer and reviewed procedures to keep everyone at Strictly safe.
A source told the publication: “This was truly chilling – because someone claimed to be waiting for Dianne at a certain address. That triggered a security alert and obviously had to be taken seriously.
“Producers have taken action, along with security teams, and reassured the cast that their safety is paramount.”
The insider goes on to add that security is already tight around the studio where Strictly is filmed, but bosses are now looking into whether to throw a ring around the stars’ accommodation too.
A BBC spokesman said: “We take security and the safety of our cast and crew very seriously.
“All our security arrangements are reviewed and adjusted accordingly for every live show.”
Dianne has been dating YouTube star Joe, 29, for two years after appearing together on the 2018 series of Stricty.
