Cat Deeley has been tipped to sign up for Strictly Come Dancing after she recently moved back to London from Los Angeles.

The presenter chose to relocate back home in recent days as she wants to raise her boys closer to home.

Speculation is rapidly growing that the presenter could be putting on her dancing shoes for this year’s competition.

It could be her first TV stint back home amid plans to fly back and fourth to LA for work projects.

According to Ladbrokes, Brummie babe Cat is highly sought after already, with her odds at 6-1.

It would be a huge surprise for Strictly fans if Cat appeared on the popular BBC show.

Jessica O’Reilly of Ladbrokes said: “Cat Deeley’s everyone’s cup of tea and what better way to announce her return to UK television than with a stint on Strictly.”

It could be a great opportunity for Cat, who hosted American show So You Think You Can Dance, and knows how to bust out a few moves herself.

A representative for Strictly declined to comment.

The telly star put her mansion up for sale earlier this month, which sparked rumours she would be moving back.

Cat’s four-bed property, which she purchased in 2006 in the Californian celebrity hotspot, is listed on the market for $4,995,000 (£3.8m).

And sources told The Sun she’s already secretly settled down in London with her husband Patrick Kielty and their kids.

The source said Cat, her presenter husband and their sons Milo and James were “more than ready for this” as she dreams of raising her children in Britain.

It’s said to be a “new adventure” for the family.

Meanwhile, Strictly Come Dancing battles to return in the autumn amid the pandemic.

Bosses are worried that its studio could become a “sweaty mess” and spread coronavirus on set.

One of its producers’ major concerns is the temperature of the studio.

Crew have been told that the studio needs to be kept under 21C, which is a very difficult task under the heat of the lights.

It’s thought that producers are also attempting to ban the Strictly curse this year, and they plan to “ignore” chemistry to pair celebrities and professionals.

In past years, celebrities and professionals have danced in the “Chemistry Circle”, which has also been nicknamed the Speed Dating Circle due to the numerous hook-ups that have resulted from it.

This would include the stars performing a salsa in a circle with various different professionals as they constantly swapped partners.

However, due to the pandemic, this usual process has had to be scrapped, The Sun reported.
