Skins star Mike Bailey seems to have left the world of showbiz behind him – and taken to teaching instead.

Mike played fan favourite Sid Jenkins in the teen comedy-drama for the first two of its seven-series run.

First appearing as beanie-clad Sid back in 2007, his character was the best mate of Nicolas Hoult’s enigmatic Tony.

Now 32, Mike’s in teaching – and his students have uncovered his famous past.

In fact, one of them was so excited to have a celeb for a teacher that they filmed one of his lessons for TikTok.

“Sid from Skins (Mike Bailey) teaches in my school,” the student captioned the video.

“Yeah he teaches drama,” agreed another on Reddit.

Fans last saw Sid when he touched down in New York City at the end of the second series, part of his dogged pursuit of Hannah Murray’s Cassie Ainsworth.

Mike went on to star in flick We Are The Freaks in 2013, among a number of other projects.

His final acting credit is for 2017’s Faulty, in which he plays a character called Nigel.

He tied the knot in 2015, and some of his Skins co-stars were thought to have been in attendance.

In 2017 he opened up about leaving the acting world, telling Radio Times : “I kind of thought ‘what the f**k am I doing with my life?’ and ended up getting in a conversation with the wife a couple of years ago and decided that those who can’t act teach.

“Ten years ago I never thought I’d still be talking about it, but [Sid] still does pop up every now and again.

“I mean, it’s always kind of been there. It’s kind of fizzled out over the years, but I mean, it was always a good thing.”

Skins served as a launchpad for the careers of a number of big Hollywood names, including Nicolas, Kaya Scodelario (Effy) and Dev Patel (Anwar).

Meanwhile, Hannah and Joe Dempsie (Chris) went on to land high-profile roles in HBO’s fantasy-drama hit Game Of Thrones.

Daniel Kaluuya (Posh Kenneth) was swamped with critical acclaim after playing the lead role in Jordan Peele’s 2017 horror film Get Out.

The show was also riddled with celebrity cameo roles, including EastEnders’ Danny Dyer, future Doctor Who Peter Capaldi and The Thick Of It’s Chris Addison.
