The two-time Grand Slam champion (French Open 2018, Wimbledon 2019) has won three titles this year and has a 23-3 match record. She’s won 22 titles in her career.
Halep, 29, pulled out of the U.S. Open in August, citing coronavirus concerns and saying she planned to “stay and train in Europe.”
Her last match was a loss to Polish teen Iga Swiatek in the fourth round of the French Open in early October, which ended a 17-match winning streak. –Field level Media ()
