Sheridan Smith looks stunning as she gets back to work after son’s birth

Actress Sheridan Smith exuded Old Hollywood glamour as she returned to work three months after giving birth.

The Cilla actress, 39, is back at work for Saturday’s BBC’s VJDay75 programme and arrived in a sparkly silver gown by Jacques Azagury and looked stunning.

Sheridan gave birth to her longed-for first child with fiancé Jamie Horn, Billy, back in May.

The singer’s dress had flared sleeves with a thigh-high split to display a little bit of leg for her fans.

The star wore her blonde tresses in an elegant up-do that also provided classy waves.

Sheridan captioned the photo on Instagram : “Honoured to have performed a tribute to Dame Vera Lynn as part of #VJDay75. BBC One, Saturday 8.30pm.”

She added: “And thank you @jacques_azagury for the beautiful dress x

“Make up & hair @lesleybrennan5

“Stylist @tesswrightstylist “.

The iconic Forces’ sweetheart Dame Vera Lynn died on June 10 at the grand age of 103, best known for comforting World War Two soldiers with songs such as We’ll Meet Again.

Naturally, the retro style and Sheridan’s glow from motherhood went down a treat with her fans on Instagram, who took to the comments section to show their love for the star.

One Sheridan fan commented: “Motherhood suits you , you look absolutely beautiful.”

Another follower wrote: “You look stunning. So natural xxx”.

“So beautiful Shez, glowing! Xx,” echoed a third fan.

Meanwhile, actress Anna Friel replied to the post: “Pretty pretty . Glowing [pink heart emojis]”.

Former EastEnders star Tracy-Ann Oberman commented: “So pretty xxx”.

Elsewhere, Love, Actually actress Martine McCutcheon commented simply: “Fabulous.”

Finally, one Sheridan fan concluded: “Bloody hell! You look stunning! Motherhood suits you! Utterly radiant!!! X”.

Sheridan is due to front a new ITV special entitled Sheridan Smith: Becoming Mum this Autumn.

The programme will see Sheridan open up about motherhood and her personal mental health issues, which she has struggled with since 2016 with the death of her father Colin.

Teasing the documentary last month, Sheridan wrote on Instagram: Beautiful cake yesterday made for the little man by lovely Cat and @britruevis at @truevisiontv headquarters… we finished our documentary for @itv, can’t wait for you guys to see it! Been an emotional rollercoaster but worth every second! [heart emoji, baby emoji] #becomingmum “.

We can’t wait to see what Sheridan does next!
