GMB: Sam Fox recalls nursing dying partner
Samantha Fox has opened up about caring for her dying partner Myra Stratton and says it was “one of the hardest things” she’s ever been through.
The 56-year-old singer was in a relationship with Myra for 16 years when she sadly died of cancer in 2015.
Sam has since found love again and recently married her partner Linda Birgitte Olsen.
Sam appeared on Monday’s Good Morning Britain alongside Linda to talk to hosts Kate Garraway and Richard Madeley about moving on since Myra’s tragic death.
Mother-of-two Kate commented: “You lost your partner, Myra, you were with her for 16 years and you lost her to cancer and you nursed her through that, such a tough, tough time for everyone in that situation…”
Samantha Fox appeared on Monday’s edition of Good Morning Britain
“For everybody, it certainly puts life into perspective and when you go through something like that, you certainly grow up and you see life for what it really is,” Sam replied.
“She was very, very brave and I think anybody looking after somebody dying with cancer are very, very brave too. It’s one of the hardest things I think I’ve ever been through and I’ve been through a lot in my life with my career and my life… it’s tough,” she continued.

Speaking about finding love again with her new wife Linda, Sam confirmed that she’s now known as Mrs Olsen Fox.
“I’ve always wanted to be married, always. I met lovely Linda six years ago and I just went, ‘wow’, and I think love at first sight,” Sam revealed.
