YouTube sensation Saffron Barker has been mocked for butchering her pronunciation of a French phrase.
The former Strictly Come Dancing contestant just turned 20-years-old on July 24 after having becoming an Internet sensation at a young age.
However, a video posted today to her YouTube channel saw Saffron review gifts she received for her 20th birthday last month.
One of the gifts was a pair of converse trainers from the label Comme des Garçons.
As she went to show her followers the gift, she asked: “How do you pronounce it? I think it’s Comme des Garc-ons?”
She then goes on to say it once again with a hard ‘c’.
Naturally, the slip-up prompted quite the response from amused and embarrassed viewers.
Under the YouTube clip, one viewer wrote: “My french self is crying when she said comme des garçons”
Another added: “commey de garkon? LOL. Pronounced Com De Garson babe.”
A different critic of Saffron’s tackling of the French phrase commented: “I can literally see French people squirming at her pronunciation lol!”
Someone replied: “Yup, I am fluent in French as was cringing so hard when she was pronouncing it’.
One person wrote of Saffron’s choice of pronunciation on Twitter : “Comedy gark-hons”.
One who shared the clip wrote: “French people hearing Saffron Barker pronounce Comme des Garçons: [eye emoji, lip emoji, eye emoji].
Another person commented, “The french seeing this”, before then posting an image of Jessica Alba with her fingers in her ears.
However, some were just too distracted by Saffron’s beauty in the clip to be bothered or notice.
One fan of the popular YouTuber tweeted: “Loved this video so much saff! Also how on earth do you look so stunning with and without makeup!!! @SaffronBarker “.

Saffron whipped up a frenzy last week when she posed in a super low-cut one piece during her holiday in Santorini, Greece.
Sharing the snap with her 1.7 million followers, Saffron wrote: “Most incredible location in Santorini !!! Having the best time,” alongside a lovestruck emoji.
