Ryan Reynolds is upholding his reputation as Hollywood’s biggest prankster.

The actor, 43, has launched his own streaming service – but left fans fooled when just one film was on it.

Ryan – who previously bought a stake in wireless carrier Mint Mobile in November 2019 – made the announcement on Twitter, leaving fans excited to try out the new streaming service.

He penned: “Every tech company needs a streaming service. So… introducing Mint Mobile +. The world’s most affordable streaming service!”

Attached to the tweet was a 30-second snippet from his 2003 film Foolproof.

Foolproof is a Canadian heist film, which was one of the first times Ryan – who is married to actress Blake Lively – had a leading role on the big screen.

The trailer hypes up the chance to “Binge over 80 minutes of Ryan Reynolds, in one bingetastic place, all streaming in 2003 DVD quality,” which led fans on to get even more excited.

On first look, the website appears to be packed with film content.

However eagle-eyed fans noticed upon closer inspection that all the titles are actually just Foolproof – with each thumbnail being different to make it seem like they’re all different genres.

Those who click on any of the Foolproof thumbnails are able to watch the film, albeit in a grainy DVD-quality version.

Not long after he sent out his initial tweet about the release, Ryan penned once more: “Two minutes after launch and our crack data team has already determined Mint Mobile + should probably be shut down by the weekend.

“We’ll go back to focusing on premium wireless…”

It’s not the first time Ryan has pulled a fast one on his fans.

His usual ways of pranking comes at the expense of actor Hugh Jackman, as the pair have been friends for years and often prank one another on social media.

Ryan’s wife Blake also participates in making her husband out to be fooled by her, as she often crops him out of pictures, which has recently forced him do the same.
