Roman Kemp returned to his showbiz commitments today after being granted leave from his Capital FM radio show.
Earlier this week, Roman left his breakfast show midway through the broadcast along with colleagues Sonny Jay and Sian Welby after being handed some news.
It was later explained their sudden absence was down to the trio being informed off air that someone they used to work with had sadly died.
Roman was then replaced by Capital colleagues Rob Howard and Lauren Layfield after Will Manning took over an hour early on Wednesday and hosted the whole of Thursday’s show
27-year-old Roman was back on TV with his dad Martin, 58, to front their ITV show Sunday Brunch, which is pre-recorded earlier in the week, today.
“Every Sunday I’m sat here with my dad. Just keeping you company with some brilliant guests as well in the morning” said Roman at the start of the show.
Introducing their first guest the Good Morning Britain star Ranvir Singh, Martin said: “Joining us today is someone used to getting up very early.
“Not just the sort of early you know,” Martin teased his son – referring to Roman’s early starts for Capital breakfast.
Later in the show, Roman got the opportunity to poke fun at his dad when Martin revealed he’d tried out for the role of James Bond in the 90s.
Martin said that after his successful turn in The Krays, he jetted out to Los Angeles to try and carve out a Hollywood acting career.
But sadly he lost out on the coveted role to Pierce Brosnan, who became the fifth actor to play the secret agent.
Brosnan went on to play Bond in four films between 1995 and 2002.
“You were too young and good looking,” Ranvir assured Martin.
