Robbie Williams is hoping that Gemma Collins will reach the number one spot on the charts this Christmas after being wowed by her incredible vocals.

The former Take That singer, 46, is a huge fan of the GC’s festive cover of Baby It’s Cold Outside, which features her former CelebrityBig Brother housemate, Darren Day.

The Angels hit-maker, who topped the 2001 Christmas charts with Somethin’ Stupid alongside Nicole Kidman, said the nation is in need of some cheer this festive season – and Gemma is the one to bring it.

After being wowed by her vocal abilities, Robbie has rushed to send the self-confessed diva a message of support.

The much-loved singer is such a huge fan that he’s even made a cameo in her latest reality TV series – Diva At Xmas, which airs on ITVbe this Wednesday.

In a sweet video message, Robbie tells the GC: “I’m wishing you the very, very best Christmas and incredible new year.

“Good luck with the new single with Darren, it’s a cracker.

“Thank you for making me smile and thank you for making me laugh, we need more of that on our televisions.”

Gemma has kept Robbie endlessly entertained throughout lockdown as he binged her reality TV show, which gives a fly-on-the-wall glimpse into her everyday life.

Robbie recently told Alan Carr that he and his wife Ayda are obsessed with the GC.

Gemma and Darren are looking forward to spreading holiday cheer with their festive single with 100% of profits going to charity Rethink Mental Illness.

The duo first met on Celebrity Big Brother in 2016 when Gemma famously screamed the house down during a tense moment where she yelled “I’m claustrophobic, Darren”.

Speaking about her debut single last week, Gemma said: “I wanted to do something fun and fabulous for you all for charity as it’s been a tough year for all, I hope this spreads some cheer and warmth in your hearts head over to my story to pre order !!!!! X and thank you @rebelrecs for your incredible encouragement.”
