Rita Ora ’s mum has slammed people who continue to flout Covid guidelines.
Vera Sahatçiu, 56, who returned to the NHS to work as a psychiatric nurse amid the pandemic has taken aim at those who are breaking the current UK restrictions.
Taking to Instagram, the healthcare worker called out Londoners who flocked to Regent Street over the weekend to enjoy the festive period.
Vera posted a photograph of endless swarms of consumers who appeared to “forget” about social distancing.
She captioned her post: “Can’t believe this.
“Has the virus disappeared already?!”
Vera’s furious post comes after her pop star daughter recently came under fire for not isolating after a trip to Egypt.
Rita flew to Cario by private jet on November 21 to perform at the five-star W Hotel but failed to self-isolate on her return to the UK a day later.
Under current government rules, she should quarantined for 14 days when she got home.
Instead, the singer was seen arriving at Casa Cruz restaurant in London’s Notting Hill on November 28, where she held her 30th birthday bash during England’s second country-wide lockdown.
She took no notice of lockdown rules shutting down hospitality venues last month.
Afterward, Rita was forced to issue a public apology after inviting her showbiz pals to the “inexcusable” birthday party.
Sources said she volunteered the £10,000 fine after inviting her showbiz pals to the birthday party.
The How We Do hit-maker said it was a “spur of the moment decision” in an apologetic Instagram post.
“It was a spur of the moment decision made with the misguided view that we were coming out of lockdown and this would be OK… I’m deeply sorry for breaking the rules and in turn understand that this puts people at risk,” she wrote.
Rita has since promised to “do better”.
Mirror Online has contacted Rita’s representatives for further comment.
