Rebekah Vardy says she tried to sort Wagatha Christie feud ‘amicably’ with Coleen but it ‘didn’t work’

Rebekah Vardy has claimed that she tried “to sort things out amicably” with Coleen Rooney but it “didn’t work.”
WAG Rebekah, 38, appeared on Tuesday’s Good Morning Britain to reveal that she will be appearing on the upcoming series of Dancing On Ice.
After sharing the the big news, TV host Piers Morgan was unable to resist quizzing Rebekah on her headline grabbing feud with fellow WAG Coleen.
Rebekah has launched a libel lawsuit against Coleen after their epic fall out last year – which led to Coleen being dubbed ‘Wagatha Christie’ after she set up her own private investigation to catch whoever she thought had been passing on information from her private Instagram page to the press.
She posted a series of fake stories, blocked all her followers apart from Rebekah’s account and then sprung a ‘gotcha’ post online when the hoax posts made their way into the papers.
Rebekah vehemently denied she was behind the leaks, insisting a number of people had access to her Instagram page.
And speaking about the drama on-air, Piers urged Rebekah for some information, before making clear that he understood not much could be said due to “legal reasons.”
Referring to the Coleen drama, she replied: “Look, we tried to sort things out amicably and it just didn’t work.
“I understand people think it’s ridiculous, but what was I meant to do? I need to clear my name, I want to clear my name and I will do whatever that takes and I hope that it’s going to be resolved soon.”
She said that she had found the situation “tough” but added: “To be fair, Piers, in comparison to what some of the people have gone through with covid and things it’s incomparable.”
Mirror Online have contacted a rep for Coleen for comment.
Rebekah is seeking substantial damages, claiming the posts last October resulted in her suffering “severe and extreme hostility and abuse” after Coleen made the claims on social media.
The wife of footballer Jamie Vardy will be joining the likes of Jason Donovan, Denise Van Outen, Faye Brookes and Sonny Jay, all of whom will take to the ice in January on the 2021 series of DOI.
