Heidi Montag Reveals Best & Worst Parts About Pregnancy

Heavily pregnant Heidi Montag spent the night in hospital after thinking she had blood clots.

Thankfully, it was a false alarm, The Hills star, 35, told her Instagram followers in a post from the hospital on Monday.

The reality TV star shared a make-up free selfie taken in front of a hospital on her Instagram story, writing alongside it: “Long night in the ER thinking I have blood clots in my leg… no blood clots in my leg,” finishing with a praying hands emoji.

In the photo, Heidi wore a blue and white face mask, while her trademark blonde hair was scraped back from her face into a bun.

Heidi, who is married to Spencer Pratt, is pregnant with her second child. The pair announced last month they are expecting a boy, after holding a gender reveal party.

The couple, who have been together since 2007, already share Gunner, four, and struggled to conceive before announcing their pregnancy in June.

“I couldn’t be more excited. I don’t know who I’m the most excited for — myself or Gunner or Spencer,” Heidi told US Weekly.

She continued: “I just felt like something was missing.

“I felt like a person was missing in our family that I had this intense love for. And I kept praying about it.”

The controversial couple had been trying for another child for around 18 months.

Speaking about their journey, Spencer added: “Heidi has been crying a lot. It’s like every month, ‘Here we go’. I was like, ‘If it happens, it happens.’ But Heidi didn’t want to do it that way.

“It was so long at this point I don’t know if I have any emotion left because it was very challenging.”

Heidi turned to eating raw meat in an attempt to increase her chances of conceiving, she explained in March.

Speaking to People, Heidi hinted she carries bags of meat when she goes out, just in case she is feeling peckish or is in need of giving her baby chances a boost.

The Hills star said that it was her interest in “anthropology” has helped drive this as she loves “trying new things” and and is keen to explore “the way humans are meant to eat.”

A change in her diet wasn’t Heidi’s only step in her quest to become pregnant.

In August she told fans she underwent a hysteroscopic polypectomy procedure – where non-cancerous uterine polyps are removed.

“I was feeling nervous last night about it, but I’m excited today,” Heidi shared in a vlog, before entering the facility.

“And I hoping that the surgery works and that this is the only reason I haven’t been able to get pregnant.”

“Hopefully after this, I can get pregnant right away,” the TV star added.

Heidi also vowed to quit drinking as she overhauled her lifestyle in a bid to achieve her dream.
