Phillip Schofield’s bombshell nasty fall outs with Fern Britton to Noel Edmonds

Phillip Schofield has had many showdowns with stars from all walks of showbiz but none more famous than his row with Fern Britton

Everyone knows Phillip Schofield has had some serious beef with other celebs.

And now This Morning’s presenter has opened up about his biggest showdowns with stars in his new autobiography Life’s What You Make It.

Phil delved into the intimate details of arguably his most famous so-called feud with his former co-presenter Fern Britton.

Also, the star doesn’t hold back when he spills the gossip behind his fight with Piers Morgan.

Some of his revelations about his explosive fall outs may even surprise his fans, especially on his epic row with Noel Edmonds.

Fern Britton

Phillip and Fern’s falling out rocked the showbiz world to its core.

Once close pals while working together on This Morning, their friendship turned frosty on Fern’s sudden departure from the show in 2009.

Now Phil has made sensational claims Fern accused him of “meddling” with the content of This Morning which quickly escalated to a row.

In his new book, the ITV star poured over the details of their row in the make-up room in 2009.

He wrote: “I walked back into the makeup room and calmly said, ‘Please don’t do that to me again.’

“I think, for whatever reason, that was the point Fern decided she didn’t want to do This Morning any more.”

Also, the TV daytime star revealed Fern didn’t text him when he come out as gay.

However, Phil divulged she had offered support to his wife Steph over text which he noted was “kind”.

Their clashes haven’t always been behind closed doors.

Phil publicly hit out Fern when she claimed she had been snubbed from This Morning’s 30th birthday two years ago.

He wrote on Twitter : “Odd really, because she was invited and declined #memoryloss we’d have loved her to be there. A vital and much loved part of the show.”

Rumours were flying Fern left This Morning because she earned £250,000 a year less than Phil but she has denied these claims.

Phil shared with the world he was no longer in touch with Fern in an interview in 2013.

Piers Morgan

Furious Phil recalled how he didn’t speak to Piers for a long time over a spat.

At the time, he had handed over some of his most prized possessions for the journalist to write a series of articles about him.

Horror filled Phil’s gut when he found out Piers had “deceived” him, having written an unofficial biography about him.

He wrote: “I was furious. Not so much that he had written the book, but that he had deceived me.

“We didn’t speak for a long time. There were awkward moments: once, the two us were in a lift for what felt like an endless descent.”

His anger begun to dissolve as Phil remembered finally feeling their feud was “stupid” and he wanted to make up.

Once their paths were thrown together again when Piers starred on Test the Nation a few times, Phil extended the olive branch of friendship.

Noel Edmonds

It may surprise Phil’s fans when he refers to his well-known fall out with Noel as a “terrible shame”.

They clashed heads over an interview on This Morning when Noel claimed a negative energy could cause cancer.

Looking back on it, Phil expressed his feelings of regret over the argument but he still didn’t agree with Noel.

He wrote: “I always cited him as my TV inspiration.”

He added: “Sadly, many years later, he and I would strongly disagree over an interview on This Morning when he suggested that ‘negative energy’ could cause cancer. I still take a different point of view to Noel, but I think it’s a terrible shame we fell out over it.”

The This Morning interview spiralled into chaos when Noel and Phil were at loggerheads over the subject.

Initially Noel, who was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2013, had gone on This Morning to defend his controversial Twitter posts about the causes of cancer.

The Deal or No Deal star accused ITV of “stitching” him up when Phil hit out at the star for being “insensitive”.

Noel said: “Phil, if you are unlucky enough to be seriously ill, I promise I won’t be so callous and I will show you respect, sympathy and compassion.”

Their row played out six months later over social media.
