Loose Women star Nadia Sawalha has spoken out in an emotional video after she was branded “a total witch” by co-star Coleen Nolan and Saira Khan’s manager.

Melanie Blake of Urban Associates, who represents Nadia’s fellow panellists Coleen and Saira, launched an blistering tirade against Nadia on Twitter on Friday.

Retweeting a clip from the official Loose Women Twitter page, in which Nadia offered a powerful message to other women about body confidence, Melanie wrote: “It’s a shame she ‘officially’ gave up acting because Nadia deserve [sic] an Oscar for this speech.

“In 20 years of repping clients I never saw a nastier side to anyone than I did of her & I’m not alone. Her constant ‘be kind’ etc speeches are so ironic considering she is a total witch.”

Replying to a follower commenting on her post, Melanie added: “The time will come. I’d let sleeping dogs lie if she didn’t bleat on about ‘being kind’ every time she gets the chance – when behind the facade she is anything but.

“If she had any sense – she’d wise up, before more people reveal what she’s really like, like her sister did…”

Melanie also shared a separate tweet reading: “Non, je ne regrette rien.” [“I regret nothing.”]

Nadia’s reps told MailOnline following Melanie’s outburst: “Nadia is shocked and hurt by this tweet. Nadia is known in the industry as being kind, generous, and gives her times and energy to many positive causes.

“Everyone who knows Nadia knows this is absolutely not true and she will rise above the negativity.”

Now Nadia has appeared to address Melanie’s tweet in a video to fans, in which she thanked them for getting in touch with messages of support.

Sharing the clip on social media last night, Nadia told the camera: “Hi guys, I’ve just left a similar story on my Insta Stories so sorry if you’re following me on both platforms because I don’t want to be boring.

“Basically, I haven’t had the best couple of days. Not every day can be the best day, can it?

“But I just wanted to say a really big thank you to my friends and my colleagues, the strangers, the followers, the subscribers that have messaged me both privately and on here.

“You’ve absolutely warmed my heart and left me finishing my day remembering that there really are certainly more good people than bad people.

“In my experience, most people who seem bad are usually just quite sad. So, thank you so much, I really, really, really appreciate it.”

Nadia concluded by blowing a kiss at the camera.

Sharing a similar video on Instagram, Nadia said: “Something happened today which wasn’t very nice, not every day is nice.

“I have had so many lovely messages, I really didn’t want it to geo left unsaid to my many colleagues who have texted and messaged today, some I haven’t seen for years, some on different shows…

“To the subscribers, followers, friends and strangers, there are so many more good people than bad people in the world. Thank you.”

Husband Mark weighed in as well, penning a lenghty and heartfelt tribute to “the kindest and fairest person I have ever met.”
