Motsi Mabuse clasped medical documents as she left for ‘urgent’ Germany trip

Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse was spotted at Heathrow Airport earlier this week as she geared up for an “urgent” trip to Germany.

The 39-year-old judge, who is believed to now be self-isolating after returning to the UK, was carrying her medical document as she boarded a flight on November 10.

In the snaps, the Strictly star wore a white face mask as she wheeled her metallic suitcase through London Heathrow Terminal 2.

Motsi wrapped up warm for her urgent trip home and wore a fluffy beige coat and a striped knit jumper.

The mum of one also gripped several medical documents in her hand as she headed to check-in.

Motsi, who shares a home with her husband and daughter in Germany, explained on social media that she had to return to the country for an “urgent reason”.

The dance star has since confirmed that she will adhere to UK guidelines following her brief trip and will self-isolate for two weeks.

“‘Hi Guys- earlier this week I needed to travel to Germany for an urgent reason. I will of course be following the UK Government guidelines and self-isolating for 14 days,” Motsi wrote on her social media page.

She added: “I’ll be watching from home and by the power of technology, should be in your living rooms. Watch out though, I’ll be doing my own hair and make-up!”

A spokesman has also told the Mirror online: “Motsi had to make an essential journey and will now be isolating for 14 days as per government guidelines.

“We look forward to welcoming her back to the Strictly studio in a few weeks.”

Strictly Come Dancing production has been thrown into disarray because Motsi is now required to skip the live shows.

According to The Sun, Strictly professional Anton Du Beke is expected to temporarily replace Motsi for at least the next two weeks.

The show also faced further setbacks after contestant Nicola Adams and her professional partner Katya Jones were forced to quit the show after Katya tested positive for coronavirus.

The Olympic star tested nevative for Covid-19 but is required to isolate for 14 days because she has been in contact with Katya.
