Michelle Keegan enjoys dinner with her mum as she’s freed from 2-week quarantine
Michelle , 33, shared selfie snaps of her wearing the lilac midi-length dress as the mum enjoyed some fancy food at The Ivy restaurant in London
Michelle Keegan glammed up in a 50’s style dress to take her mum Jackie to a posh dinner in London.
The actress, 33, was delighted to be freed from her two week quarantine after the last minute guidelines come into place when she was flying home from her Spanish break with hubby Mark Wright.
So it’s no wonder she made the most of it when she was finally allowed to venture into the outside world from her £1.3million sprawling mansion in Essex.
In fact Michelle took the trip to London with her mum.
The leading actress shared selfie snaps on Instagram of her looking stunning in the lilac midi-length frock as the pair enjoyed some fancy food at The Ivy restaurant in London.
The former Coronation Street star also took time to pose in her new frock in a mirror selfie and posted a picture of her mum taking her own photos inside the bathroom.
Michelle showed off a snap of her mum taking her own photos of the ceiling in the loo and joked about her antics.
She told her Instagram fans: “While I’m taking mirror selfies, she’s taking pictures of the toilet ceiling.”
The Our Girl actress and her mum were also snapped in front of St Paul’s Cathedral.
Our Girl was axed by the BBC this month after the end of the fourth season which saw Michelle leave it.
The decision to end the series came from the show’s creative team and not due to any failing in ratings or critical response.
Our Girl creator Tony Grounds revealed to Radio Times : “With the finale of series four showing Georgie ready to move on with her life, it feels like the right time for us to do the same.”
However, this does not mean that Our Girl viewers have necessarily seen the last of Michelle Keegan’s heroine.
Grounds added: “Michelle and I are keen to continue our working relationship and, who knows, maybe we’ll catch up with Georgie in the future.”
Michelle departed the series in January.
Her exit was spurred on by her desire to “explore other opportunities” and spend more time in the UK with her husband Mark.
She had played British army medic Georgie for three, taking over as the show’s lead from EastEnders actress Lacey Turner, who fronted the show in its first series.
Our Girl filmed across Nepal, Malaysia, and South Africa, meaning Michelle had to travel far from home frequently.
Lockdown has allowed Michelle to spend more time with her husband Mark at their £1.3million home in Essex with their sausage dog.
It’s an idyllic location but Michelle confessed she’s been more than fed up with her hubby’s dirty habits.
Recently, the couple were forced to quarantine for two weeks after their sun-soaked break in Spain.
