Michelle Dewberry has given birth to a little boy.
The media personality and business woman, 40, announced the happy news that she welcomed her tot today.
The baby was born nine weeks early after Michelle’s waters broke when she was just 28 weeks pregnant, following a visit to see her mum in Hull after the lockdown restrictions eased.
Sharing the news on Twitter, The Apprentice star said: “So happy to share that I’m now a mummy!
“After a month in hospital & lots of complications, my little man came into this world way too early (31 weeks) but takes after his mamma & is a fighter.
“I’m in love. Our next chapter, that of NICU is now upon us. We take it day by day.”
Alongside the announcement she shared a number of snaps of herself and her son – whose name is yet to be revealed.
The premature baby can be seen in an incubator in one of the offerings posted by the reality personality.
Michelle’s shared that she and ex-Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan, 52, were expecting in August.
The pregnant star proudly showed off her burgeoning baby bump in a fitted spotty dress while she posed for a slider of photos.
However, the businesswoman bemoaned coronavirus was robbing her of small joys in her pregnancy journey.
The mum-to-be insisted she couldn’t be happier to be expecting her first child.
She wrote: “I’ve managed some serious projects in my time, but this one is by far and away the most exciting…
“And despite #covid taking away many of the small joys of my pregnancy so far – I could not be happier….”
Her hashtags included: #pregnancy #babymama #babyonboard #covidpregnancy #positivenews.
Shortly after her big win with The Apprentice, Michelle suffered heartache when she had a miscarriage.
The winner had been carrying her co-star Syed Ahmed’s baby.
Their relationship did not survive the devastation.
In an interview at the time, Michelle poured her heart out as she shared her grief over losing the unplanned child.
“I was devastated. I was really frightened and lonely and wanted my mum.” She told Hello! magazine.
“My initial thought was, ‘My God, what very, very bad timing.’ I’d just won this prestigious show and then suddenly I was pregnant. I’m a normal human being and contemplated not keeping the baby. It was a very brief thought and I wouldn’t have acted on I, but my career is my life.
