Megan Barton-Hanson has shared on the first thoughts that ran through her mind when she saw a DM flash up from Scott Disick.
Last month, Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Scott – who is the father to Kourtney Kardashian’s three children – slid into the former glamour model’s DMs.
However, he was not messaging the Love Island personality, 26, to shower her with compliments but instead blasted her for her “bad treatment” of fellow Islander Eyal Booker – who she briefly dated whilst looking for love on the show.
And now, the blonde beauty has shared on her first thoughts when she saw his message and that her confidence was “through the roof” when she assumed the American reality TV star wanted to get to know her.
Speaking on BBC 1xtra’s Slide Into My Podcast with Snoochie Shy, Kaz Crossley and Jordan Hames, Megan revealed that after seeing the message from Scott that she initially thought she was in with him, and that she joked with her manager that she needed to jet across the pond to take part in Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
Megan said: “Yeah, I could have been Mason’s step mom [Scott’s 10-year-old son with ex Kourtney Kardashian]. We don’t know. I was saying to my manager. I was like ‘Oh, my God, get us a plane to LA. I need an LA agent!’
“I’m going to make it. I’m going to be in the next series of the Kardashians. And then it was just pure abuse.”
She said: “I mean, I’ll be brutally honest, so I was actually when I saw it, I was like on a date with this really fit guy. So the ego and the confidence was like through the roof.
“So I was like, Scott Disick might actually just want to message me to be nice that maybe I’m just glowing on Instagram right now.”
But sharing that she was quickly brought back down to earth after reading his words, she added: “And then when I saw that I was just like what it took me a couple of times to read it. I was like, ‘No!'”
Megan also said that she suspects Scott was not the author of the bizarre message as he penned the term “mugging off.”
She explained: “But I definitely don’t think it’s Scott who wrote it. Like, mugging off. I’ve never heard a Kardashian be like, ‘Oh, mugging off’.”
Megan added: “No, I don’t know who wrote it, but it’s so British like they don’t say mugging off.”
A few weeks ago, Megan revealed to her Instagram fans that Scott had reached out to her online.
In the screenshots shared to her Instagram Story, messages from Scott’s account read: “Hey I recently saw your program Love Island. I had a few questions for you about it. Let me know when your around to speak about it.”
In response, Megan said: “Hey you… what do you wanna know X.”
Scott then messaged: “I was recently introduced to a beautiful man, named Eyal, when I went to see what he’s done on TV, I was astonished by your behaviour.
“To find you mugging him off and taking full advantage of his unbelievably beautiful sense of humour and vulnerability – I’m extremely disturbed that anyone could be so disrespectful to somebody for no good reason.
“I would like to know if you’d be willing to write him an apology. The fact you told him he wasn’t funny – when in fact, you are not Jim Carrey is absurd.”
Megan typed alongside the screenshots: “It’s not often I’m left speechless but… sorry? What have I just read? Genuinely a little concerned about Scott though.”
