Maya Jama is the latest celebrity to be tipped for this year’s forthcoming I’m A Celebrity line-up.

The DJ, 25, quit her breakfast show on Radio 1 earlier this year to pursue “exciting opportunities” with her name now being one of the rumoured A-listers we could see in the jungle.

Bookmaker Coral announced Maya’s odds at 4-6 to be a contestant on the show.

What’s more, Coral make her 6-1 to win the show and be crowned Queen of the Jungle.

Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead said: “We think Maya would be a massive coup for ITV if they could get her to be a contestant on I’m a Celeb, she’d be perfect for the show.”

He added: “The match made in heaven could well happen too and we make it odds on that she does enter the jungle.”

Being no stranger to appearing on TV, Maya could be the perfect contestant for the series.

The brunette bombshell has become a fan-favourite when she appeared on Love Island : Aftersun – with some fans even begging ITV producers to make her the show’s lead presenter.

During the pandemic, Maya has been presenting Peter Crouch: Save Our Summer alongside the former footballer.

Mirror Online has contacted Maya’s reps for comment.

It comes as ITV chiefs are working on a “reserve” plan to relocate the whole production of this year’s series to the UK if Australia’s Covid-19 flare-ups continue.

Channel bosses are so determined to ensure the 20th series goes ahead later this year they are scoping out alternative venues in the UK as a plan B.

They are desperate for the ratings-juggernaut, fronted by Ant and Dec, to go ahead as usual, having already seen advertising halve and revenues nosedive during the pandemic.
